Sevan Minaskanian is a Los Angeles–based author whose love of storytelling began long before she ever put pen to paper. A lifelong daydreamer, she has always been drawn to imagining characters, relationships, and emotional journeys, quietly shaping the stories she always knew she would one day tell.
After building a life centered around family, Sevan is now stepping into a long-held dream with the release of her debut novel, Winter Time. Her writing explores themes of love, identity, and resilience, with a focus on the emotional experiences that shape who we become. Through her work, she hopes to create stories that resonate with readers navigating first love, self-discovery, and the complexities of growing up.
She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Peter, an engineer, and their two children, Viken and Lori. Viken has followed in his father’s footsteps, pursuing engineering at their shared alma mater in Northridge, while Lori has carved her own path as a health and fitness coach. Surrounded by family and inspired by everyday moments, Sevan continues to imagine, create, and bring new stories to life.

I’ve always been drawn to stories that feel real—the kind that stay with
you long after you’ve finished reading.
Winter Time is one of those stories for me. It’s about love, yes, but also
about the moments we question ourselves, the times we stay quiet,
and the strength it takes to finally be heard.
If you’ve ever felt unseen, or like you were waiting for something more
—I hope this story finds you.

Sevan is usually caught somewhere between everyday moments—laundry, dishes, and being a mom.
Even then, the stories don’t stop.
She’s constantly writing down thoughts that won’t settle, even when they have nothing to do with the story in front of her.
Because at the end of the day, she’s always writing
—and she’s always a mom.
